HAPPY EASTER! I was finally able to get an okay picture of all my kids together including Iriel. Love my family and so thankful for Easter and for Christ and all that he did for me that I can be with these amazing kids forever.
I cannot believe how quickly time goes by. Iriel turned one month old yesterday! It seems like I was just coming home from the hospital and yet it has already been a month! So far she has been a really good, happy baby. She does, however, like to be held a lot :) Which I would love to do all the time. Problem is my other three kids don't think that is the best idea. The kids are starting to adjust and get use to having a baby around. They have all been very patience and good with her. She has started to smile quite a bit (not sure it is on purpose) and the kids think it is super funny to see her entire face light up. She has been such a blessing to have around and I hope time will slow down just a little bit.
On another note, Kalli has been wanting a haircut for awhile so since it is spring break this week I made appointments for both her and Dreyken. I have yet to get a picture of Kalli's new cut, she decided to get some bangs cut and is now not quite sure it was the best idea. It looks super cute but it bugs her to have hair in her face. I was able to get a picture of Dreyken, although she was not happy about it - at all - as you can tell by the picture. We decided to go short and even everything out. Her last hair cut was done after she cut her own so a lot of it was super uneven still and since she hates to have her hair done, we took the chance. I love how it looks on her and luckily so does she.
So I guess it is about time that I update the blog on our newest addition! On Wednesday February 27th our family welcomed in a new little girl. We had a hard time deciding on a name for her but since her delivery was longer then hoped for, we were able to come up with something we both could agree on. So - at 7:15 pm Iriel Parry Beck was born weighing 7lbs 8 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. Like I said before, she made the delivery last a long time and had several of the nurses and the doctor worried. (I was of course in tears because of all the panic going on in the room) but she managed to make it here without any real problems. According to her Dad her name means Eagle Princess which he got by combining the meanings from different places. Me, I just liked the name :) And as for Parry, it is my mother's maiden name that we choose because she is the 100th decendent of my Grandparents who were both able to come and meet her in the hospital. My Grandma turned 90 a few days later, and they are going to be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary next month. So, we thought it would be fun to have her named after such amazing people. Here are just a few pics that have been taken. It is crazy how much she has changed in just a week and a half. We love this little girl and are so greatful to have her here and healthy!
Our ten year old daughter, who is a wonderful big sister. She loves reading and attending school with her friends. Loves to perform with her clogging class and for piano recitals. She is such a great daughter, and is adored by both her younger brother and sister.
Our energetic, loving six year old son. Loves to spoil his mom and sisters. He is dad's buddy and wrestling companion. He has such a tender heart and loves to please. He is quick to make friends with anyone who will let him. He loves sports, and is getting very good at many of them especially his favorite soccer. T is always willing to be the goof and get a laugh out of people. Loves going to kindergarten, and being a brother to both of his sisters.
Dreyken prefers to be refered to as "Daddy's Butterfly Princess" and that describers her exactly. She is very girly girl, and loves to were tutu's and dresses that spin. She loves to dance and sing and has quite the stubborn streak running through her. She loves to laugh and play with others. She is a Daddy's girl all the way and has him wrapped around her tiny little finger. She loves both her brother and sister and trys to be just a big as they are.
