Soccer Obsession

I just wanted to document my Husband's and Children's obsession with soccer jerseys. Today as I was doing laundry I was hanging up jerseys and wondered how many they actually had. Dan gets asked every day by someone if the team he is wearing is his favorite team, of course he responds with no I just like jerseys, usually followed by who he does like. He gets stopped in the most random places by complete strangers. It's kind of funny. Anyway, this picture and count does not include all of the AYSO team jerseys that they get every year for their teams, and any other soccer themed shirts that they also wear. This is only jerseys from actual professional teams. A little overboard? I think so :) The final count was ... 55 Total Jerseys! Dan has 17; I has 5 (they actually are really comfortable); Kalli has 11; Tarek has 19; Dreyken (she is not a fan of wearing them because they are not what a princess wears) has 2; and Iriel (yes she does already own a jersey) has 1! Now this does not include the ones I know that my kids are wearing at school today, so tecnically the total is 57! And a picture of Iriel in her first jersey. Already a Real Salt Lake Fan.

So I want to post this picture more for my sake than anything, but this is a picture of my Grandma Lois Parry and Grandpa Jack Parry holding Iriel. One of the reasons that we used the middle name of Parry is that Iriel is the 100th decendent of my grandparents. They are amazing people and I am so grateful for all that they have done for me thoughout my life and for the wonderful example that they are to not only me but to my entire family. My kids have all been lucky enough to know not just them but many of their great-grandparents and I know that they will look back on life and be thankful for the memories they have of them all.
