PUZZLES AND SEWING PROJECT

This week the kids school did a "NO TV WEEK" Challenge. If the kids didn't watch any TV for the week then they got to earn some prizes. And I am proud to say that they did it! I wasn't sure they would make it for an entire week, but they surprised me and made it from Friday to Friday! Tarek found a new hobby - Puzzles! He spent almost all of his free time doing puzzles and he is getting really good and fast a putting them together. Kalli spent a lot of time reading and would join in on the puzzles or get the family to play a game every once in a while. It turned out to be a really good thing and hopefully we can keep the TV off more!

On another note - Kalli got a sewing machine from her Grandma Beck for Christmas a year ago. She has sewn a few pillow cases but not much else. So since the kids were out of school on Friday and Dreyken is again sick, we pulled out the machine and tried to find something to make. She decided on a pair of Capri's and we found an t-shirt I had lying around that had never been worn. They turned out really cute and she is starting to figure out the machine a lot better. However, she did not want a picture taken so this is all I got!

Woah! Go Kalli! That is so awesome! I am pretty sure her sewing skills are better than mine already! Good work! And puzzles too :) Yay Tarek :)
